ABOUT RAKU POTTERY...
* Raku is a type of pottery that originated in Japan. It is one of the most natural pottery techniques. All of nature's elements are used - earth, fire, air and water. Clay is hand-shaped, then fired in a reduction chamber kiln. The pottery is removed while it's still hot, then plunged into cold water to halt the firing process and air cooled.
